Gregor is one of Australia’s best-loved pop eccentrics.

He was first heard via 2016 cassette Thoughts & Faults on Chapter Music. Stereogum said “His sly experimentation rearranges the drabness of reality into something ultimately intriguing."

Chapter released Gregor’s debut album Silver Drop in late 2018. Spacious and delicate, but peppered with acerbic pop moments, the album broadened Gregor’s audience considerably, with 1 million streams for touching single A Song About Holding Hands, and a series of sold out headline shows throughout 2018-19. Silver Drop was album of the week across various community radio stations, and Gregor was nominated for Best Album and Best Solo Artist in the 2019 Music Victoria Awards.

Ambitious prog-pop second album Destiny was released in November 2020 via Chapter Music. A RRR album of the week, it was covered by NME, Rolling Stone and MTV, with the Sydney Morning Herald writing “Gregor delivers grooves and detours to keep you exploring for days.” Gregor was nominated for Best Pop Act in the 2021 Music Victoria Awards.

Gregor and labelmate Sweet Whirl teamed up to record a darkly stylish cover of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s Have You Ever Seen the Rain for Rising Festival in 2021.

Gregor has played festivals such as Golden Plains, Dark Mofo, Camp Doogs, Boogie Festival, Something Unlimited and The Others Way (NZ), with a live band of up to nine people. He has supported the likes of Rolling Blackouts, Regurgitator and Augie March. He played bass in Laura Jean’s Devotion live band and sings backing vocals on Sweet Whirl's recent album How Much Works.
